What it is
Book Reader is a personal ebook library in your browser. Upload your EPUB files and read them on any device — your books, your reading position, and your preferences follow your account. Press play and it becomes an audiobook: each sentence is highlighted as it's spoken, pages turn by themselves, and the narration flows from chapter to chapter without stopping.
How it works
- Your library. Upload EPUBs from your device. Covers, titles, and authors are picked up automatically, and every book remembers exactly where you left off.
- A real reader. Books render with their original formatting — chapters, images, typography — with page turns, a chapter list, and light and dark themes.
- Listen, hands-free. Two kinds of voices: the free voices built into your browser, and lifelike natural AI voices on paid plans, streamed as you listen. Skip by sentence, adjust the speed, and watch the highlight follow along.
- Scanned books too. When a page is just an image, AI vision reads the text out of the picture (OCR) so it can still be spoken aloud.
- Translate, then listen. Pick a language and Book Reader translates as it reads, speaking the translation with a voice that matches.
